This is a super cool Les Paul Custom style guitar made in Japan by the Tomson brand sometime in the 1980's. These were specifically made to order for the Japanese domestic market and are very rare to find. This example features a bolt-on neck construction and is equipped with vintage Maxon humbuckers.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and finish cracks throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The binding has aged from over time and the gold hardware and pickups also show normal patina that is consistent with aging. The plastic output jack cover also shows some thin cracks from over time. The frets play great along the neck with life left, exhibiting light play wear, The truss rod has plenty of room to turn in both directions.
This guitar is all original, outside of replacement knobs.
