This made in Japan vintage Squier CST-55 Stratocaster plays and sounds great! This one has a JV serial and a 1983 date stamp on the neck heel. This guitar is comprised of an alder body, "C" shape maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. The lake placid blue finish looks great! This is one of the earliest examples of a Squier guitar, made along side the original Fender JV guitars.
The factory-equipped SQ-5 "Hot Rod" pickups sound great! There is a sticker on the pickguard with a misprint, noting "Suqier" SQ-5 Hot rod pickups.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The hardware shows normal tarnishing and the pickguard and other plastics have also aged from over time. The frets are used but still play great and the electronics work as they should.
This guitar is all original.
