This is a super cool 1984 Roland G-505 Synth Guitar Controller that is meant to be paired with the GR-300 Guitar Synthesizer. The guitar was purchased by itself and does not have the GR-300 unit included. The controls for the guitar alone include a 5-way pickup selector with 1 volume and 1 tone control. The other controls are for the synthesizer when engaged: filter cutoff, resonance, vibrato depth, blend knob, and master volume and tone controls.
*** The pickup selector and main vol/tone controls are outputting as normal, though we were unable to test the synth controls due to not having the unit for testing.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years. Most notably, there's lacquer wear throughout the fretboard and the body shows various scratches, scuffs, dents, and chips from over the many years of play. The back of the neck and headstock show plenty of dings as well and the mini switch is slightly crooked. The hardware is tarnished from over time and the frets are showing some grooves along the fretboard. Despite this, the frets are still playing great with minimal fret buzz.
The pickup selector switch tip and tremolo arm have been added. This guitar otherwise appears to be original.
Although the handle is missing, this guitar includes the pictured OHSC.
