This is a super cool made in Japan Rider J-401 that plays and sounds great! These were inspired by vintage Gibson guitars like the J-45 and Southern Jumbo and were made for a very brief time between 1975-1977. This guitar is comprised of a spruce top, mahogany back and "C" shape neck, with a rosewood fretboard.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and finish chips throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and chips on the headstock. The binding around the neck has yellowed from over time and shows minor chips all throughout. Despite the cosmetic wear, there have been no structural cracks or repairs. The frets still play great and are in nice shape for their age.
