This Orville by Gibson SG61R plays and sounds great! This SG comes from the "Orville by Gibson" line, representing Gibson's highest tier of Japanese production at the time. The factory-equipped Bill Lawrence-designed "The Original" HB-R/HB-L humbuckers produce a very clear articulation and the neck has a comfortably slim profile. The ebony lacquer finish looks great!
This guitar shows minor cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and small dents throughout the body with additional minor dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The hardware also shows normal patina that is consistent with aging and the frets light play wear. The frets fell great along the neck with plenty of life left. The truss rod has plenty of room to turn in both directions and the electronics work as they should.
This guitar comes freshly set up with D'addario EXL110 (10-46) strings. The volume/tone knobs, neck pickup ring, and strap buttons are later replacements, otherwise this guitar is all original.
