This 1991 Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom plays and sounds great! The neck has a comfortable '60s profile and the transparent red nitro lacquer finish is an uncommon color that looks particularly striking paired with the gold hardware. The factory-equipped Gibson 490R and 498T pickups sound fantastic!
This guitar is in really nice shape for its age at 35 years old. It does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There is some light clouding in the finish on the front of the headstock as shown. The gold hardware and pickups also show normal patina from over time. The frets exhibit only normal play wear with plenty of life and the electronics work as they should. The neck is straight and the truss rod still has plenty of room to turn in both directions.
This guitar comes freshly set up with D'addario EXL110 (10-46) strings. This guitar is all original, outside of a few touched up solder points. (a previous owner at one point had a different set of pickups in it, but it was returned to stock)
