This is a very rare and hard to find vintage made in Japan Kawai F-1 JR that plays and sounds great! The tone wood construction is actually quite intricate, featuring a five piece maple and mahogany thru-neck, and body wings consisting of a three piece maple cap front and back around a mahogany core. The neck feels very comfortable to play and the pickups provide a full resonance while retaining a lot of clarity.
This guitar shows normal cosmetic wear that includes various light surface scratches and scuffs throughout the body with additional small dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The hardware also shows normal tarnishing and oxidation as well. The frets still have plenty of life and play great along the neck and the electronics work as they should. Overall, this guitar is in nice shape for its age!
This guitar comes freshly set up with D'addario EXL110 (10-46) strings. The tone pot has been replaced, otherwise this guitar is all original.
