This 1991 made in Japan Ibanez RG550 plays and sounds great! The neck is super thin and feels very fast to play while the HSH pickup configuration provides a high output with so much tonal versatility. The Purple Neon finish looks awesome, offering gradient color changes in different lighting.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and chips all throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There's also lacquer chips along the edges of the fretboard and a couple small surface cracks underneath the locking nut screws on the back of the neck. The guitar is otherwise still structurally sound and the cracks appear to be solely cosmetic. The hardware and pickups show quite a bit of tarnishing and the purple metallic finish has also aged over time. The frets have only normal play with plenty of life left and the electronics work as they should.
The switch tip, locking pieces, volume/tone knobs, and spring cover have been replaced. This guitar is otherwise original.
