This is a super cool made in Japan vintage Ibanez Destroyer II DT355 that plays and sounds great! This guitar features an Explorer type body with tone woods including a basswood body, birch top, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. The V5 humbuckers provide a very hot output with a DC resistance of 16.2k ohms in the neck and 16.3k ohms in the bridge. This example was made in Japan in the Fujigen factory in 1985, and certainly lives up to the praise this era of production receives.
This Destroyer is in nice shape for its age! It exhibits normal cosmetic wear that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and finish chips throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The gold hardware shows light patina and the white finish has aged nicely from over time. The frets still have plenty of life and play great along the neck and the electronics work as they should.
This guitar is all original outside of a replacement tremolo arm and strap button.
This guitar has been freshly set up with D'Addario EXL120 .009-.042 gauge strings.
