This vintage Guild D-55 plays and sounds great! The tone woods include a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, and an ebony fretboard. This guitar comes from the sought after Westerly era, rivaling Martins like the D-28 and D-41.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There's quite a bit of scuffing around the sound hole and there's also some minor finish checking throughout the body. The binding has chipped and yellowed significantly from over time and the tuning keys also show normal tarnishing. Part of the headstock inlay has also chipped. The nut shows some wear. The frets do have normal wear from over time but still play well along the neck with medium action.
The endpin and bridge pins have been replaced. This guitar otherwise appears to be original.
