This Mint Collection Greco EG59-70 plays and sounds great! This guitar faithfully recreates the 1959 Les Paul with a great flame top. The neck profile sits somewhere between '59 and '60, starting slim and thickening up and you get up the neck. The factory-equipped DRY PAF style Humbuckers sound great, with a DC resistance measuring 7.3k ohms in both the neck and bridge positions. The cherry red sunburst finish has a really nice flame top that has aged very well from over time!
This guitar is in really nice shape for its age at over 35 years old! It does show some normal cosmetic wear from over the years such as some surface scratches a small dings. There is some wea through the finish on the edges. The binding aged nicely from over time, yellowing out a bit. The back electronics covers show some wear as shown. The hardware and pickups exhibit patina consistent with age. The frets play great exhibiting normal wear with life left. The electronics work as they should.
This Greco comes freshly set up with D'Addario EXL110 (10-46 gauge) strings. The pickguard, poker chip cover, and strap buttons are later replacements, otherwise this guitar appears is all original.
