This might be the craziest Greco we've ever found! This vintage EX800 plays and sounds great! The neck has a slim '60s profile and the Maxon U-2000 humbuckers provide a classic PAF tone. It is clear that this guitar has had quite a history given by the burn mark on the front. This is solely just cosmetic and the guitar is structurally sound with so much character. While we do not know the story on how this happened, it is evident fire was involved given not only the burn mark on the front of the body, but also the knobs and output jack plate appearing torched.

The Fujigen factory produced the Ibanez Destroyer 2459 and Greco EX800 guitars concurrently, with the same specs. The Greco branded version was made for the Japanese domestic market, while the Ibanez branded version was made for the export market.

This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years. Most notably, the front of the body shows a significant burn stain with the knobs and plastic around the output jack also melted and charred as a result. The body also shows other various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout along with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There is an extra strap button hole on the back as shown. The hardware also shows normal patina consistent with aging. The neck is straight with plenty of room to turn in both directions and the frets still have plenty of life. All of the electronics work as they should.

The Maxon U-2000 pickups currently are uncovered. It looks like the electronics have previously received service with an extra grounding added to the bridge pickup. The neck pickup is original to this guitar, while the bridge pickup appears to be a period correct replacement. This guitar came to us in its current configuration.
