This vintage Greco EG800 plays and sounds great! This is a nice example of a vintage Japanese Les Paul style guitar that has been very well played over the many years. The neck has a comfortable slim taper profile and the Maxon PU-0 humbuckers provide a classic PAF tone that produces a lot of bite and clarity.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the many years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, chips, and finish wear all throughout the body, neck, and headstock. There's particularly quite a bit of cloudy splotches and discoloration along the back of the neck. There's also particularly quite a bit of finish wear especially along the back of the body and various chips and small cracks along the binding. The hardware also shows normal patina consistent with aging. Despite the cosmetic wear, this Greco is totally structurally sound with no cracks/repairs/ect The frets display normal play wear, but still feel great across the neck with plenty of life. The neck is straight with plenty of room for the truss rod to turn in both directions.
The pickup rings and pickguard are later replacements, otherwise this guitar is original.
