This is a super cool vintage Greco EG550 that plays and sounds great! This Greco has been hot rodded, now sporting a Bigsby tremolo, as well as a Bare Knuckle Mule pickup in the neck position, and a G.DOG Double Tone Bucker in the bridge. The neck profile has a comfortable slim taper. This guitar precedes Greco adding serial numbers, but can be dated to 1975 based on pot codes and catalog information.
The controls are currently wired for a single master volume and two tone knobs. The second volume knob had been taken out of the circuit but still remains in the guitar for aesthetics.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The finish appears to have been touched up in various spots, specifically along the side of the switch cavity, lower horn, and back side of the body. There's also a light finish-only crack down the center of the back of the body. There's also additional scratches and chips underneath the bridge and Bigsby tremolo piece. The binding has aged from over time and the hardware also shows light patina consistent with aging. The frets still have plenty of life and the truss rod has plenty of room to turn in both directions.
The Bigsby tremolo, and pickups are not original to this guitar. It has also been rewired as noted. This guitar is otherwise original.
