This 1999 Gibson SG Standard plays and sounds great! The Heritage Cherry finish has aged beautifully from over time, including some nice checking and the neck feels very comfortable to play. The factory-equipped Gibson 490R/498T sound great, delivering classic humbucker growl while retaining clarity.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The back of the neck also has plenty of finish wear, particularly along the sides of the fretboard and the body has some light finish checking throughout as well. There's also some imprints on the front and back of the body from where there had been stickers at one point in time. The hardware shows normal tarnishing and the binding around the neck has significant age wear as well. The frets are used but still play great and the electronics work as they should.
The orange capacitor is a replacement, otherwise this guitar appears to be original.
