This is a super cool vintage Gibson SG Junior from 1967! This guitar features a "Large Guard" and Vibrola tremolo. The neck feels comfortably slim and the single P90 pickup sounds great!
This guitar does shows normal cosmetic wear for its age that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and finish chips throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The cherry finish has also aged very nicely from over the years. The frets exhibit only normal play wear with plenty of life left and the electronics work as they should. Overall, the guitar is in really shape for its age!
This guitar fits comfortably into the "Players Grade" realm as it has seen some different parts over the years, but it has now returned to a more stock configuration. Most notably the body had been routed to house a neck pickup at one point in time. The pickup is a period-correct late 60s Gibson P90, though likely not original to the guitar. The pots and capacitor appear to be original, but solder points have been touched over the years, likely at the time of the neck pickup instillation. The pickguard and tuners are later replacements, otherwise this guitar is original.
