This vintage Gibson Marauder plays and sounds great! These were designed to compete with Fender in the mid 1970's by incorporating a bolt-on neck construction and an SH pickup configuration. There's also a blend knob located on the lower bout for dialing in the rhythm and treble pickups. The factory-equipped Bill Lawrence pickups sound awesome!!
This guitar does show some normal cosmetic wear for a vintage instrument that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The natural finish has aged nicely from over time and the hardware shows normal light tarnishing. There appears to be a tiny separation starting to form on the outer seam of the headstock near the high E string. The guitar otherwise still appears structurally sound. The frets show normal play wear but otherwise still play great along the neck and the electronics work as they should.
This Marauder comes freshly set up with D'Addario EXL110 .010-.046 gauge strings. One of the pots has been replaced and some of the pickguard screws are also replacements, otherwise this guitar is original.
