This 1987 Gibson Les Paul Junior plays and sounds great! This era of Juniors is truly exceptional, all the vibe you would want from a vintage Junior, with the tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece setup for perfectly dialing in intonation. The factory-equipped dog ear P90 sounds exceptional!
This is in great shape, especially considering it is nearly 40 years old! As expected with a vintage instrument, it does show some cosmetic wear and aging from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There's also some minor finish wear located along the lower edge of the body near the strap button and lacquer wear on the sides of the headstock. The edges of the fretboard also have some minor dings throughout. The hardware and P90 pickup also show some patina from over time. The frets play great with plenty of life left, exhibiting only light play wear. The electronics function as they should.
This Junior comes freshly setup with D'addario EXL110 (10-46 gauge) strings, and is playing great! It currently sports Gibson Deluxe tuners, and a speed knobs, this guitar is otherwise original.
Includes the pictured Gibson chainsaw case with blue liner. The Gibson logo plate is not present as shown.
