This 1998 Gibson Explorer '76 plays and sounds great! This reissue model is an excellent example of the classic design.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. Despite this wear, there are no cracks or breaks and the guitar is structurally sound. The hardware is starting to show some light tarnish from over time and the pickguard is cracked in one of the corners. The frets are used but still play great without noticeable fret buzz and the electronics work as they should.
The pickups have been swapped for a set of Seymour Duncan humbuckers. This guitar otherwise appears to be original.
