This made in Japan Fender ST54-VSP Stratocaster Reissue plays and sounds great! This one was part of the Vintage Special Series and is comprised of an ash body, "V" shape maple neck, and maple fretboard. The lacquer sunburst finish looks and feels incredible, making this guitar rival many vintage and Custom Shop examples. The factory-equipped Fender "Custom Vintage" staggered pole alnico pickups sound fantastic, and feature vintage correct black bobbins and cloth wiring.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and small finish chips throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The hardware also shows normal light tarnishing from over time. The frets still have plenty of life and play great along the neck and the electronics work as they should.
This guitar is freshly setup with D'addario EXL110 strings(10-46). The back spring cover is a later replacement, otherwise this guitar is original.
