Here we have a Japan domestic market Standard Stratocaster. This is the Fender Japan version of the American Standard Stratocaster of the time. It features a comfortable "C" shape neck with a 9.5" radius. Unlike the American Standard, this has 21 frets, and a more vintage style bridge. The Grover tuners keep this one in tune super well, and this is a extremely solid Strat across the board!
This Stratocaster is in great shape overall! There is some play wear from over the years such as various scuffs, dings, scratches, and other cosmetic blemishes through the body and neck. The hardware shows light patina consistent with age. The frets are in nice shape and play great across the neck. The electronics all function as they should.
The middle pickup was swapped for a similar style Fender MIJ pickup, only the flat pole version. The guitar is otherwise original.
This guitar comes freshly set up with D'addario EXL110 (10-46) strings.
