This is a super fun made in Japan ST-Champ mini Stratocaster in Sunburst finish, made in Japan in 1994. This is the earlier version of the ST-Champ, with a shorter scale length of 20.75". This guitar is equipped with a built in speaker underneath the pickguard and a single Fender Dragster-SC Humbucker with volume and one tone control.
The pickup selector is used to control the speaker output from off/clean/distortion and you can also plug in to an amp to play as normal. When using the distortion sound, the effect is sent to the amp.
This guitar does show a few signs of cosmetic wear from over the years. The body shows various scratches, scuffs, chips, and dents throughout the body. The hardware shows light tarnish from over time. The frets are in nice shape, and play great, showing only normal play wear. All of the electronics work as they should.
This guitar was recently serviced with a fresh battery connector installed, as well as new screws of the same style for the pickguard and backplate. This guitar is otherwise original.
