This is a very rare and hard to find made in Japan Fender ST-68R Stratocaster Reissue. The guitar is flipped to emulate a Woodstock era Jimi Hendrix style guitar but is still meant to be played in a right handed configuration. This guitar is comprised of an alder body, "C" shape maple neck, and maple fretboard. The guitar is also equipped with a set of USA Texas Special pickups.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and finish chips, particularly along the lower side of the body with additional small dings on the headstock. The finish has started to age nicely from over time and the hardware shows normal light patina consistent with aging. The frets exhibit only light play wear with plenty of life and the electronics work as they should.
This Strat retains its original Texas Special pickups, the electronics were previously serviced with a newer switch, capacitor and pots. The tuners have been swapped for a set of vintage style locking tuners. The tremolo arm, spring cover, and volume/tone knobs are later replacements. This guitar is otherwise original.
