This crafted in Japan Fender ST-62DMC Stratocaster Reissue plays and sounds great! This one has been modified for an HSS pickup configuration, now sporting a DiMarzio DP100 Super Distortion in the bridge, accompanied by the factory-equipped DiMarzio Full Impact single coils in the neck and middle positions. This pickup set compliments each other well, delivering classic Strat sounds in the neck and middle positions, with high-output humbucker sounds from the Super Distortion. The tone woods include a basswood body, "C" shape maple neck, and rosewood fretboard.
This guitar is in great shape, displaying only minor cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional small dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The plastics have aged from over time and the hardware shows patina consistent with age. Parts of the finish, particularly along the sides and between the horns, have also become cloudy from over the years. The frets are still in nice shape with plenty of life and the electronics work as they should.
