This 1978 Fender Precision Bass plays and sounds great! The bass has been well played over the many years and still feels very comfortable to play. These late 70s Fender basses are easily some of the best value on the market!
This bass does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, chips, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The back of the neck also has some checking and lacquer wear and the maple has aged significantly on the headstock. The hardware also shows normal tarnishing from over the years. There's a rusty screw on the headstock above the E string, likely acting as a string tree to keep the string in place. Next to the screw, there is another pre-drilled hole. The frets are used but otherwise still play great and the electronics work as they should.
The bridge cover is missing and the volume knob has been added. The strap buttons have also been replaced. This bass otherwise appears to be original.
