This is a super cool Fender Partscaster Strat featuring a made in USA Yngwie Malmsteen signature neck paired with a made in Japan STD-54 Stratocaster Reissue body. The neck has a factory-scalloped fretboard as to Malmsteen specs and the heel stamp dates to 1989. The Sonic Blue finish on the body would have been a rare color for the STD-54, so it was likely a custom color order. The finish has aged beautifully from over the years!
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The sonic blue finish has aged to a green color and the hardware also shows normal patina from aging. The frets great with plenty of life left and the electronics work as they should.
The guitar is equipped with a set of Fender Deluxe Drive Stratocaster single coil pickups.
