This is a super cool vintage Musicmaster Bass from 1978! The 30" scale length makes this bass very fun and approachable to play and is currently strung with flat wound strings. The Dakota Red finish looks awesome!
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear as you would expect from a vintage instrument. This includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body and continuing on along the back of the neck and headstock. The maple neck has aged from over the years and the hardware and screws show normal tarnishing. The pickguard has scratches from normal play and the lower corner is cracked underneath the screw. The nut slots have worn down from over time, causing slight open fret buzz on the low E string. This is not as noticeable when plugged into the amp, however. The frets are used but still in nice shape for their age and the electronics work as they should. Overall, this guitar has been maintained very well and the cosmetic flaws add to the charm of this over 46 year-old bass.
This bass appears to be all original.
