This made in Japan Fender Modern Jazz Bass V plays and sounds great! As the title suggests, this bass is decked out with modern specs featuring a compound neck shape and radius with option to switch between active and passive electronics. The tone woods include an alder body, "C" to D" shape maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. The Generation 4 Noiseless pickups provide a tight low end, punchy mid range, and clear highs along with plenty of tonal versatility provided by the electronics.
This bass shows minor cosmetic wear that includes light surface scratches, scuffs, and small dents throughout the body from normal play. The pearl white pickguard has started to age from over time and the hardware and pickups are also starting to show light tarnishing. The frets have plenty of life and play great along the neck and the electronics work as they should.
The strap buttons have been replaced, otherwise this bass is all original.
This bass comes freshly set up with D'Addario EXL170-5TP .045-.130 gauge strings.
