This made in Japan Fender JG66-70 Jaguar Reissue plays and sounds great! The guitar is comprised of an alder body, "C" shape maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. This is an earlier example, made at the iconic Fujigen factory between 1993 and 1994. This particular example has been upgraded with Fender American Vintage '62 Jaguar pickups, and a Mustang style bridge.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and finish chips throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There's also some finish cracks on the lower body underneath the bridge and tail piece. The hardware shows patina consistent with age and the vintage white finish has aged nicely, yellowing out a bit. The frets play great, exhibiting only normal play wear with life left and the electronics work as they should.
This guitar comes freshly set up with D'addario EXL110 (10-46) strings. The electronics recently serviced when the American Vintage pickups were installed with some switches being replaced. The bridge is a replacement (Mustang style for better stability). The tremolo arm is a later replacement. otherwise this guitar is original.
