This is a super cool '62 Reissue Jazz Bass with a flame top, and factory gold hardware! This off-catalog model is quite rare, and they rarely come up for sale. The red flamed top paired with gold hardware gives this bass quite an eye-catching appearance, and we are happy to report it plays and sounds as good as it looks.
While the neck profile is in line with what you would expect for a '62 Jazz bass, some of the other specs are changed for this model The controls include double volume and double tone. The bridge is a Gotoh High Mass bridge. This comes from the factory with no pickguard (or mounting holes), allowing more of the flame to be visible.
This bass shows cosmetic wear from over the years that include light scratches, small scuffs, and dents throughout the body. The frets feel great with plenty of life left, exhibiting only normal play wear. The electronics function as they should and sound great.
Though no exact factory reference can be found, everything looks to be original here.
