This 1995 reissue Fender American Vintage '57 plays and sounds great! The neck has a slim almost "D" shape profile, making it easy to get along the fretboard and the American Vintage '57 pickups output a classic Strat tone. The nitro lacquer finish looks great!
This guitar is in excellent condition, especially considering it is over 30 years old! It does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and finish chips throughout the body with additional dings on the headstock. The hardware shows light patina and the plastics have also aged from over time. The pickguard has a small chip located near the neck heel. The frets show only normal light play wear with plenty of life and the electronics work as they should.
These guitars originally shipped with a 3-way switch installed, with a additional 5 way switch included in the case. Currently the 5 way switch is installed, and the 3 way remains remains in the case. This guitar is otherwise all original.
