This New York made Epiphone Century from 1955 plays and sounds great, and is a very well kept example! This one dates back to pre-Gibson era Epiphone.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear as you would expect from a vintage instrument. The body shows checking in the finish all throughout along with other various scratches, scuffs, dents, and chips. The pickguard has started to warp from over time and is missing the Epiphone logo. The finish checking continues all the way down the back of the neck and headstock.
The binding has been professionally replaced, otherwise this guitar appears to be original. It's likely that this guitar has been professionally re-fretted as the frets are in very nice shape. The fret wire regardless, appears correct.
