This Burny RLC-65 plays and sounds great! This is a nice example of a Japanese recreation of the classic Black Beauty 1960 Les Paul Custom. This example dates to around 1990 based on its specs when compared with the catalog. The factory-equipped VH-1 PAF style humbuckers sound awesome!
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional scratches and dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The binding has aged from over time and the gold hardware also shows normal patina consistent with aging. The frets exhibit normal play wear and feel great across the fretboard outside of slight buzzing on the high E string on the 15th fret. The guitar otherwise plays great and is ready to rock. The neck is straight and the truss rod has plenty of room to turn in both directions.
The electronics have evidence of prior service with some replaced components, but the pickups remain the original VH-1 humbuckers. The truss rod cover is a later replacement. This guitar is otherwise original.
