This is an early Burny FLC-85 made in the Tereda factory in 1976. This example comes loaded with vintage Dimarzio Double-White PAF pickups from the 1970s, which sound incredible! This is certainly a tasteful upgrade for this guitar, and a very valuable set of pickups on its own. The neck profile on this guitar is slim, similar to what you would expect of the Norlin-era Gibson Les Paul Customs of similar years.
These guitars were being produced in Japan in parallel with Gibson's USA production during the heart of the Norlin era. This era of Japanese craftsmanship really kicked off the debate of if the guitars being made in Japan could rival or even beat those being manufactured in the US at the time. This model boasts similar specs to a Gibson Les Paul Custom of the same era, featuring a slimmer neck profile, volute, and 3 piece neck.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional scratches and dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The gold hardware shows normal tarnishing and the binding has yellowed from over time. The binding is aged throughout. The frets have some normal play wear as you would expect for the guitars age, but they play great! The electronics work as they should.
The pickups have been upgraded to Dimarzio PAFs from the 1970s as shown and the bridge pickup ring was replaced. This guitar is otherwise original.
Includes the pictured gig bag. The "Gibson" logo on the case was painted on by a previous owner. This is not actually a Gibson gig bag.
