This is a super cool made in Japan CTC-55M Telecaster Custom from the late 1980's that plays and sounds great! This one is true to the original 1972 Telecaster Custom specs. A relatively hard to find Tele from a great era of Japanese Fender production!
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and chips throughout the body with plenty of additional wear along the neck and headstock. There are a couple of larger chips located on the upper and lower side of the body that have been sealed off. The area underneath the lower strap button is also chipped up and there are small cracks starting to form around the neck pocket. The fretboard shows quite a bit of lacquer wear and grooves in the frets from over the many years of play and the maple neck has aged significantly. Despite this, the frets still seem to be playing well across the fretboard overall with no dead spots. The hardware also shows normal tarnish from over time. All of the electronics work as they should.
The pickguard screws have been replaced, otherwise this guitar appears to be original.
