This is an extremely rare Japan shop order '64 reissue Epiphone Casino! This guitar was special ordered to recreate John Lennon's iconic Casino, down to even using the same serial number on the back of the headstock, "328393". Specs include a lacquer finish, maple full hollow body, mahogany neck, dark rosewood fingerboard, nylon saddles, and Gibson USA P-90 pickups. The body top was hand-selected for its figuring. The Gibson P-90 pickups sound fantastic!
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years. Most notably, this guitar has suffered a headstock break that was repaired by our trusted Luthier, Tom Jacobs. The body shows light surface scratches throughout and there's a small finish chip along the binding located on the lower horn. The back of the neck and headstock show some additional minor dings. The hardware and pickups have normal tarnishing from over time. The frets appear to still be in nice shape and play great along the neck and the electronics work as they should.
As this was a special order, it is hard to determine the exact factory specs, but outside of the noted repair, all parts look to be original and period correct.
