This made in Japan Tokai Neo Select LS85S plays and sounds great! The guitar is comprised of a maple top, mahogany back, one pice mahogany neck, and a rosewood fretboard. The neck profile has a medium "C" shape. The "Neo Select" guitars are the result of a collaboration between the Japanese guitar shop "NEO" and Tokai. These guitars include special order specs, often not found on other Tokai guitars.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There's a pretty significant gash surrounded by finish cracks underneath the bridge volume knob as shown in the photos. There's also a couple sticker imprints located on the back of the body. The binding around the neck and body has yellowed from over time and the hardware shows normal tarnishing. The frets are used but still play great and the electronics work as they should.
It appears that some of the electronics may have been replaced, though the pickups are original. The guitar currently has an ABR-1 bridge. This guitar otherwise appears to be original.
