This Fender American Vintage '57 Stratocaster plays and sounds great! The neck profile actually feels thinner than other '50s style Stratocaster necks, landing in between a "C" and "D" shape. The factory-equipped Fender Pure Vintage pickups sound great, delivering the classic Strat bite and chime you'd expect of an example from the late 50s.
At 35 years old, this guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The hardware also shows normal tarnishing from over time and the pickguard is lifting slightly. The frets are used but still in great shape and play well. The electronics work as they should.
A previous owner replaced the Fender logo decal, likely due to the original wearing away (quite common for this era AVRI Strats) otherwise this guitar is original.
