This is a super cool and hard to find vintage made in Japan Fender CST-50 Stratocaster that plays and sounds great! This one is a left handed configuration and is estimated to be from 1986 based on the pot codes. A previous owner stripped the gloss finish off the neck, so they neck now has a natural wood feel for those who enjoy it!
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The maple neck and headstock also shows areas of discoloration from aging over time and it appears that someone had sanded the gloss finish entirely off the back of the neck and fretboard so that the feeling has more of a "matte" texture. The plastics have also aged from over time and the hardware shows normal tarnishing. The frets are used but still play well along the neck and the electronics work as they should.
The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Fleor branded single coil pickup and two of the pickup covers are replacements as well. This one came in with a right handed tremolo arm as shown. This guitar otherwise appears to be original. This guitar has been set up with D'Addario EXL110 .010-.046 gauge strings.
