This is a super cool and hard to find 1980 Yamaha Super R'N Roller SR-500S that plays and sounds great! The guitar is comprised of a Sen body, "C" shape maple neck, and maple fretboard. The pickups and electronics have been upgraded with cloth wiring and a 5-way pickup selector.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, finish chips, and dents throughout the body, particularly along the sides of the body. The frets show quite a bit of wear and there's some finish wear along the sides of the of the fretboard. The headstock shows some additional dings as well and the hardware and tuning keys also show normal tarnishing. The spring cover on the back of the body has also yellowed from over time and is cracked in one of the corners. Despite the cosmetic wear, this guitar plays great and the electronics work as they should.
The pickups, volume pot, pickup selector switch, and most of the wiring have been replaced. The DC resistance is 6k for the bridge pickup, 5.6k for the middle, and 5.6k for the neck. The tremolo arm is also a replacement.
