This vintage made in Japan Yamaha SG-45 plays and sounds great! The guitar is comprised of a mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fretboard. The neck has a comfortably slim profile and the factory pickups produce a high output. The SG-45 is one of the earliest guitars in the Yamaha SG series, making it a very important part of the Yamaha lineage.
This guitar does show normal cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, small dents, and chips throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The binding has aged from over time and the hardware also shows normal patina that is consistent with aging. There's also a filled hole on the back of the body from where a previous strap button had been. The frets exhibit only light play wear with plenty of life left and the electronics work as they should.
The bridge pickup cover is missing, otherwise this guitar appears to be original.
