This 1988 Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom plays and sounds great! This one was produced in the Terada Factory in Japan and is an official licensed by Gibson guitar. The guitar is equipped with a set of USA Tim Shaw PAF pickups and the neck profile has a slim '60s feel.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional scuffs and dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There's also some finish chipping underneath the lower strap button. The alpine white finish has yellowed from over time and the gold hardware and pickups have tarnished significantly. Despite the cosmetic wear, there are no structural cracks or breaks. The frets are used but still have plenty of life and the electronics work as they should.
The lower screw on the front of the pickguard appears to be a replacement. The switch tip and a couple of the knobs have also been added. This guitar otherwise appears to be original.
