This is a super cool vintage Greco EX800C "Clapton Cut" Explorer type that plays and sounds great! This example has a slim '60s profile and the natural finish and gold hardware make for a nice pairing. The factory-equipped "Super 70" pickups sound fantastic.
The Greco EX800 guitars have risen to fame as they were the Japan-Domestic market version of the iconic Ibanez Destroyer 2459. The American market got the Ibanez branded version, while those made for the Japanese market were branded as the Greco. This "EX-800C" is a factory "Clapton Cut" variant, cutting down the Explorer shape as shown. This iteration of the EX800 is quite rare, and they rarely come up for sale.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional small dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The gold hardware also shows normal tarnishing from over time. Overall the guitar is in really nice shape for its age! The frets play great, and are in nice shape for their age, displaying normal play wear, but they have plenty of life left. All of the electronics work as they should.
The neck pickup ring is a later replacement, This guitar is otherwise all original.
