This is a super cool Norlin Era Gibson Sonex-180 Deluxe from 1984. This one was designed as a budget-friendly option and the guitar is comprised of a resin wood body, bolt-on maple neck, and unbound rosewood fretboard. The factory-equipped Velvet Brick Humbuckers sound great!
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and finish wear throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The edges of the fretboard show finish wear along the neck and there's checking on the front and back of the headstock as well as throughout the body. There's some chips underneath the tuning pegs and a crack in the pickguard near the output jack. The truss rod cover is also chipped in the corners and the hardware and pickups show normal tarnishing from over time. The frets have flattened out quite a bit from the many years of play but otherwise still play great along the neck with medium action.
The Grover tuners are replacements, otherwise this guitar appears to be original.
