This 1982 Gibson Heritage Series Standard-80 plays and sounds great! This guitar was among Gibson's first recreations of the iconic late 50s Les Paul. This example has aged beautifully over time, exhibiting light checking. The factory-equipped Tim Shaw PAFs sound great, delivering the classic PAF bite and clarity.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional wear along the back of the neck and headstock. The gold finish also aged and shows quite a bit of checking all along the lower body. The binding has yellowed with small cracks all throughout and the hardware shows normal tarnishing. The frets are used but still play great and the electronics work as they should.
The pickup rings, pickguard, and bridge are later replacements. This guitar is otherwise original.
