This is a super cool made in Japan Fender ST-462 Stratocaster that plays and sounds great! This one has an E serial, placing the year of manufacture to around 1987. These Strats have 1962 specs but with a hardtail bridge. These are uncommon to find outside the Japanese market.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The pickup covers have yellowed from over time and the hardware also shows some tarnish and oxidation. There's quite a bit of scratches especially towards the lower back side of the body. The frets are used but still have plenty of life and the electronics work as they should.
This guitar is all original.
