In 1975, Tokai began making their own acoustic guitars called "Cat's Eyes", which were made based on Martin blueprints and boasted Japanese craftsmanship. Tokai continued the production of Cat's Eyes until the mid-1980's and later resumed production of new models, but stopped again in the mid-2000's. The CE-1200CF is a super rare model made in the 1980's.
This guitar does show some minor cosmetic wear from over the years that includes light surface scratches and scuffs throughout the body from normal play as well as some small dings on the headstock. The binding around the body has also yellowed from over time. The frets are used but still have plenty of life. The action is currently on the high to high-medium side.
This guitar is all original.
