This is a very rare and hard to find vintage Yamaha SF-5000 that plays and sounds great! This guitar is one of the higher spec models offered by the Super Flighter line of the early '80s. This guitar is comprised of an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. The controls include a 3-way pickup selector, single volume, and single tone knob with coil tapping capabilities.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There's also a finish chip located on the lower side of the back of the neck with lacquer wear along the sides of the fretboard. The hardware shows normal tarnishing and the back of the high E string tuner is missing. The top of the volume knob has also chipped off from over time. The frets do have some play wear but otherwise still play great and the electronics work as they should.
This guitar appears to be all original.
