This Gibson J-45 plays and sounds great! The action feels very comfortable to play and the guitar omits a warm and rich tone. The tone woods include a solid sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and rosewood fretboard. This example has had an LR Baggs iBeam pickup system installed, which sounds great! This version of the J-45 in Heritage Cherry is quite rare, seeing low production numbers.
This guitar is starting to age really nicely! It shows some minor cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches and small dents throughout the body. The finish also shows some slight checking in various spots and the tuners show normal patina consistent with aging. The pickguard has also aged from over time with some fading in the logo lettering. There also appears to be a black line along the binding on the lower back side of the body. The frets exhibit only normal light play wear with plenty of life and the pickup works as it should.
The LR Baggs iBeam pickup system has been added, otherwise this guitar is original.
