This 1991 made in Japan Ibanez RG550 plays and sounds great! The neck is super thin and feels very fast to play.
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that include various scratches, scuffs, dents, and chips all throughout the body. There's also additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There's also lacquer chips along the edges of the fretboard. There is what looks to be small cracks protruding from the locking nut screws on the back of the neck. While you can feel this when you run your finger across the, everything feels very structurally solid, so we have not done any repairs. The hardware and pickups show quite a bit of tarnish and the purple metallic finish has also aged over time. The frets have normal play wear and the electronics work as they should.
Some of the screws have been replaced and the switch tip, locking pieces, and volume knob have been added. The back spring cover is also missing. This guitar is otherwise original.
